Doo doo do do doo...

See... this is what happens when you confine a person to her study with only a computer for company and a small black and white cat! She goes a little nuts and surfs the web and finds the clip below which makes her beam like an idiot because a) she's gone a little nuts and b) she remembers the clip from her childhood and remembers her and her brother driving their poor mother mad singing it non-stop for days. We always used to sit down together as a family and watch the Muppets when I was growing up and it always made us laugh. We all had our fave Muppet (mine was Animal) so who was yours?

Incidentally Bob the cat has been very little help with my essay writing. I have found him doing various 'helpful' things over the last few days including:
  • Napping on my notes and refusing to move. Not even when I tried to pull them from under him. I even tried doing the table cloth trick and all I got was a cheesed off looking cat.
  • Trying to help by walking across the keyboard and typing "xdfsfdcurtm". I looked it up and it is NOT a word, no matter what Bob says.
  • Deciding to come and sleep in front of me so that I had to reach over him to type. I thus looked like some mad muppet pianist! Take it from me this is not a desirous look and it is not comfortable.
  • Drinking from my glass of water when I left the study for two minutes. I came back to find him stood on the desk, lapping away. I walked into the study and exclaimed and he looked at me as if to say "What?". Honestly, I don't drink from his bowl!
Still, he usually comes and sits on the windowsill next to my desk when I am working and it is quite nice to have him there, where I can occasionally reach over and stroke him. Anyway, back to the books for me! Hopefully normal service will be resumed soon as my deadline is at the end of this week so I won't be around much in blogland until after then. Hope you enjoyed the clip! :-)

That's my kind of nonsense! It's contageous!! I can't keep up with all the new Muppets. I only know the old standards. Michele sent me over.

My favourite muppet was always Animal too.....must be why we are so in synch....

I'm glad to see Bob is helping out so much. He's a good little man, helping his mum to do her work. Give him a stroke from me.

Pandora is just the same when I am working from home - which isn't often because of that very reason!!

When we had our cat, he would often "help" me when I wrote. I'd be up in the middle of the night when he would suddenly and silently jump into my lap, scaring the bejeebers out of me and killing my momentum.

Sometimes, he'd just curl up and go asleep right there, which was fine because I'd soon get back into my groove. Besides, I appreciated the warmth on a cold winter's night.

But sometimes, he'd decide he wanted to bat my keyboard, or look at his pretty reflection in the monitor, or...

Still, I miss him. Now, our dog plops himself by my feet and warms me up. I love the thought of animals keeping us company.

Mika the cat loves to sit on my knee when I'm at the computer, but he also likes to push the keyboard tray back in too! Mind you, that's better than Leo... He likes to sit on the desk right in front of the monitor and follow the cursor around the screen!

I wish you could see the huge smile on my face while watching that! I love the old Muppets; the ones that used to be on late at night, even before they had their own show. I love the old guys in the balcony too. They had my kind of sense of humor...LOL

Glad your kitty is helping out so much.

Cats are notoriously able to create distractions. I have had the full lot of them in my room the past few days as the bird watching frenzy really kicks in.

Loved the Muppets.... favorite character had to be the Swedish Chef. Never understood a word, but loved him.

I was an "Animal" lover too!

You know, I acutally have a record, a 45, that has that song on it!!!! Crazy, huh?

Bobkat thank you so much for the smile! Girl, I'm addicted to your blog because of the unexpected things like this. I LOVED the Muppets while I was growing up and I can remember my whole family laughing at their antics. I played the drums when I was a kid so naturally Animal was my favorite.
