Great gifts!

I am still extremely busy so I haven't been around in blog land much lately. I am still trying to finish my MBA essay which I am having all kinds of trouble with and to top that I am currently working all kinds of hours to keep my job. I don't want to go into details but a senior manager from another team has decided that the strategy work my team does should be under him. He is a typically pushy Alpha male and has been sabotaging a project I have been working on by gaining support for having it scrapped in favour of his project, which would mean he would secure the funding and staff he is desirous of at the expense of my team. This is causing me quite a bit of stress.

At least I have finished my Christmas shopping! I am just waiting for one or two things to be delivered (fingers crossed). However, for those of you still struggling to find that 'hard-to-get' present for that tricky friend or relative that has everything, or who is difficult to please I have a few ideas which might help (links to sites in bold). For the dog lover or sports enthusiast I think the calendar above is ideal as it combines them both! Apparently it is packed full of Westies having fun!

I haven't forgotten the cat lovers either and I have found this delightful tea towel holder. It is both a novelty cat item and a useful thing for the kitchen or cloakroom. How delightful!
For those who like to have the newest gadgets and who like to lead the way in the fashion stakes I think this banana mobile phone holder would be perfect! Talking to fruit it is also healthy for the calories counters among your friends and family.

So there you have it, your last minute difficult present problems have been solved! I do not charge for this service, the looks on their faces as they open their gifts is enough reward. I will try and visit you all soon :)

I am going to look into that Banana phone holder...LOL.Now THAT is different...! Thanks B-K....Very very helpful!

I don't like that the Alpha Male is trying to SABATOGE you, one bit! Hmmmmmm. Wish there was something I could suggest to foil him...!

Michele doesn't like it either!

I find it sad that so many of us have experienced something similar to what you're going through now: everything's going well at work until an alpha male shows up and screws it up for everybody. Megalomania run rampant, in other words, and it happens way too often.

Doubtless you'll use your degree to ensure that never happens under your watch. And you'll give your subordinates awesome Christmas gifts in the process. I'd work with you in a heartbeat.

So would Michele, I'm sure.

Oh what a shame Bob-kat! I have just bought my last present - a smart jacket type anorak for MTL with plenty of his obligatory pockets. To get him in the shop was a minor miracle. I'll put a spell on the nasty man shall I? Thank you for your visit and I'm glad you found it a good read. Michele says hi also

I Googled that Banana so I could find it here in the states....They are ALL out of the Flip-type Cell phone style....LOL! This would have made a perfect "gift" for the White Elephant Game at New Years....!

Thanks for your comment, my dear B-K: I so agree with you about Central Park....I think it is such a Testement to New York City that this Fantastic piece of land remains as it has been for so very many years.....Frankly, I think it is what keeps the City Dwellers sane!

For some reasons, I just don't see myself talking to a banana, but I guess there's a market for it, right?

Sorry that you're having troubles at work. It's true that all too often the Alpha Male is the cause of the problem, but I had my share of troubles with my boss who was a megalomaniac and a WOMAN. Ugh. Don't even want to think about it.

Hope it all falls in place in your favour.

Bob-kat, thanks for the visit and I like your line about cargo and freight and shipping - all so true!!

Hello, Michele sent me.

Good luck on that essay you're writing. Going for the MBA? You go!

I think every workplace has a personality type A or "Alpha" person. I hope everything works out.

I just got notice that the last Christmas item I ordered is shipped! Yes! Didn't want a sad face on Christmas morning becauseit didn't come in yet.

I'm sure my clients would be impressed, if I whipped out the banana cell phone to make an important call.

The towel holder makes you not want to use it for your washcloth, doesn't it? Reminds me of those clocks that were popular in the 50s. Here again from Michele's!
