Hector has left the building

I'm back. I'm sore. I'm tired. I'm drugged up to the eyeballs, but above all my consultant assured me that the surgery went well and that is excellent news. Hector has been evicted.

I have been so out of things (generally dozy, nauseous and dizzy) that I haven't done much but nap. This afternoon is the first time I have felt up to going online so thanks to those of you who have stopped by and let me know you are thinking of me. I really appreciate it.

I currently resemble the sister to Frankenstein's monster as you can see from the photo (don't look if you're squeamish). Think I'm going to have to get some scarves to wear when I'm out and about (when I'm up to it). The staples come out at the end of the week and I get the results from the path report in a couple of weeks. Right now, just this bit of typing has worn me out so I need to lie down. Thanks for stopping by.

Why on earth does it take two weeks to get the results???

It's good to hear from you; I know how hard anesthesia can hit you - so don't try to do too much - just take it easy.

I'm praying for good results!!

I'd show you my scar, but I would probably be arrested! :-)

I'm so glad to hear you're doing ok, my sweet.
I hope you are well looked after and text me when you are ready for visitors :-)

So glad you made it through the surgery in good, if tired, spirits. The staples are a bit frightening looking, I admit. :-)

Praying for good results from the pathologist.

Hooray! Hector's been resigned to the depths of a medical waste bucket!

Heal well, babe. I, too, would be arrested if I showed you my most recent scars. But they are worth it. They show we've lived a life worth living.

Hi Bobcat!

We had sort of dropped out of sight but we are glad we made it back to hear that you are okay after your surgery. We would have been thinking of you before if we had known but now we will think of you and be thankful.

We hope your recovery continues along a path of improvement!

Great to hear its good news from the op. Take it easy as you go through the next stage of healing.

Best, rashbre.

Ghastly pic, but it can only get better from here! I'm sorry it takes so long to get the pathology report, though. I guess that's what we get for our money here in the US--quick pathology reports and a lifetime of debt service!

Sleep well, knowing that your results might come slowly, but you won't be paying for them for the next twenty years.

I'm jealous of those staples :-)

Even better than the vampire eyes I had for a few weeks after my nose got straightened !

Good to hear you've escaped from the hospital. Fingers crossed that you get back on your feet soonest.

BK, it's good to know you're home and on the road to recovery. Rest, relax and let your body do it's healing thing. Less is more at this juncture.

It was great to "hear" from you through BK's House.

Perversely, I find that picture lovely. It means you're on your way back to health. And that, my friend, is beauty defined.

So glad your non-rent-paying interloper is gone for good. Sending prayers from the other end of the Commonwealth.

Now that's impressive BK! Good to see Hector has been evicted. Hope the results are better than what you wish.

Farewell, Hector...it has NOT been nice knowing you....A 'So Long Song' for Hector's departure, my dear....I know you are happy to be home in your own bed and surrounded by your own things and loved ones, too....May your Healing go smoothly and your recovery quickly, as well....
Do take it easy, dear Bob-Kat and just rest as much as possible. So glad that Hector is History! Now, let's hope for a good report!

I have been thinking of you, though I kick myself for not coming in sooner to let you know that. Glad to know it went well. I can't even imagine going through that kind of ordeal, so definitely give yourself plenty of time to rest and recuperate. Hope you've got plenty of good reading in the meantime! (I did mention the book is on it's way right?)

I'm so glad you're OK..Having a genral anaesthetic is no small thing..it takes days to recover fully..make sure you take all the time you need from work..

The photo is great...I couldn't see the bolts in your neck so I asume Igor wasn't one of the Operating Assistants!

I agree with Carmi - it is a (visible) sign that you are on the path to recovery. I have a small collection of large scars myself - each a story, each a triumph.

I hope your days are long and fruitful, my friend.
