Running

I have been researching treadmills. It's high time I took charge of my fitness again. I used to go to the gym regularly but cash flow issues post divorce and time with my work over the past year or so have made regular gym visits a thing of the past. So I have been rethinking how I will keep fit. In my gym-going days I used to dedicate blocks of time of 1-2 hours at a time to exercise. This simply isn't a feasible option for me any more and so I need to be more flexible in my approach to getting and keeping fit.

Enter the treadmill idea. I already have an exercise bike which I use, some weights, a balance ball and exercise mat and a punch bag which is sadly slumped in a corner. With a treadmill this is enough for a small home gym. A home gym means I can fit in small blocks of exercise more regularly. Just 20-30 mins a day is better than nothing. I feel that this is more important than ever with my current health problems and so now I just have to identify the right treadmill at the right price! let's face it, if a prawn can do it, then so can I! :D

How funny re:prawn!

Good on you for having the get-up-and-go attitude in terms of exercise. Here I am thinking that I will purchase a Wii so I can exercise with that!

I'm exhausted just looking at him....LOL, LOL.....!
My neighbor, who is a "fitness expert" swears by Mini Trampolines.....And I've heard other people say that, too.
I have one, but I don't get on it hardly at all....! I really must get better about this. Try one out and see how you like it!

I bought a trainer for my road bike last year. Since I can't ride much during the winter anyway, why invest in cardio equipment when I have a perfectly good bike?

Except... it's boring down there in my basement. I need a TV down there now!

I just looked at the picture quickly when your page loaded and assumed it was a mouse. Oops. I never considered crustacians as needing workout regimens. People do tho so good luck to you!

Spending so much time on the treadmill could be considered shellfish..but since you've had to shrimp and save these past years, a good bought of excercise will warm the cockles of your heart and give you big mussels!

I wish I had the room for a treadmill. Oh c'mon, I do have the room. I just don't have the discipline! I've got to get my ass up and using the Wii Fit again. Good luck with your treadmill search!!

I must say, that shrimp doesn't have an ounce of body fat on him...

Here via michele... nice to "see" you again!

Maybe with these hard times, the prawnbrokers may have some old exercise equipment to improve mussel tone.

Just don't wear a shellfish suit for exercising.

By the way are you sure that prawn isn't a well toned lobster?

We bought a treadmill a few years ago. Alas, the EMBLOS doesn't use it much as she can never find the time. I was afraid that would be the case, but sometimes, it's better not to say anything.

Cheers.
