Things to do

I'm back! Thanks to those who popped by and offered words of support. I managed to get my MBA project done and handed in at two minutes past midnight on Wednesday night. Then it was back in work Thursday where I disappeared under a virtual Everest of emails. It has been a long week and I am very tired. I am however, very relieved to get that project out of the way. Fingers, toes and everything else crossed that I get a pass mark so I don't have to retake the whole year. I have one more essay to do before the course is over now (assuming I pass!), which is an examinable open book essay. I have the question already but I am not going to look at it until next week. This weekend I am going to recharge. I have been thinking of all the things I want to do this year once I get my life back:
  • Catch up with friends.
  • Tame my back garden. A year or so of unchecked growth has meant that there are likely to be lost tribes and wild beasties living out there.
  • Have a big clear out! Get rid of the rubbish and then take the rest to a car boot sale.
  • Get fit! I intend to convert my garage to a small home gym with bike, rowing machine elliptical trainer, weights bench and punch bag. I then intend to use it.
  • Book a holiday. I need a break!
  • Improve my photography.
  • Get back into my Western Martial Arts training.
  • File all my paperwork. There is a stack about a foot or so high!
These are not long-term goals but they are all do-able. Some of them I have to do and will be glad once they are done and others I will enjoy doing. All will give me a sense of achievement. At some point I hope to get a letter which says that the last 5 years of study have all been worth it and I have my Masters degree.

I wish you luck with all of it, Bob-kat, especially getting your Master's. The rest should be relatively easy, compared to that...LOL!

Great work Bob-kat! Good luck with that to-do list you've assembled, I'm sure it won't be hard to complete most of those 'tasks' :)

Those are great goals, girlfriend! And you're DONE. Oh, I remember that feeling, how light I felt and ready to take on the world.

For an hour or two.

Hey, my MFA is in creative writing. Did you really expect that feeling to last when there were worlds to get busy building?

Huzzah!

You should reward yourself with that trip to the Grand Canyon, you've always wanted. If you wish, I'll give you a two week "best of the west" itinerary where you do the grand tour from Las Vegas. Plus you can get some Blackjack in to pay the MBA bills.

Cheers.

When you conquer the back garden, let us know :-)

I'm anticipating needing to go into battle to tame my jungle too :-)

The end is nigh! And I wish you every success but as I always told the boys - you can only do your best and we love you no matter what:)
Have a rest and a treat- you deserve it. Michele sends best wishes.

...and in no time you'll be a lean mean fighting machine!...not only that but your garage will be put to a better use than just storing household junk...hey, maybe you could use that broad sword of yours to do the gardening!?

Wonderful news on the project and your list of To-Do's sounds commendable and very do-able. I vote for putting the holiday at the top of the list!

Congrats on finishing your Masters! That's a huge achievement and one that I haven't managed to finish personally. But I do have a long list of things to do as well. Good luck with them and hello from Micheles

Great list ya got there and how wonderful that you feel so confident that you'll get it all done and enjoy a lot of it as well.

Nice to have ya back and thanks for always having something kind to say over at my place.

I've been feeling overwhelmed by a massive writing project that feels like a thesis. I find that whenever I get a break and think the intensity of creation over, a new project comes along.

Congrats on the completion! Michele thinks so too.
