Too many books, too little time!

Anyone for cake? I am neck deep in books and drowning folks. I have a big exam coming up and I'm starting to feel just a teensy-weensy bit stressed. I've been playing catch-up on my studying ever since a thief stole my books and laptop and due to restructuring at work I just changed job so I'm on a steep learning curve there too. Great timing huh?

My exam is on Strategic Human Resource Management which looks at the strategic management of people to deliver long-term business success (in a nutshell). It basically takes the Resource Based View and looks at the inter-relationship between organisationsal strategic decisions and employees and if you are really interested you can read more here. I just need to get through this exam and then I have my final year of study left before I (hopefully) get my MBA. It's at time like this I question my logic about taking on studying on top of full-time work but I am sure it will be worth it in the end.

Anyway, I need to concentrate on my revision now so I probably won't post anything much new before then. I have some great photos of a couple of castles I have visited over the last couple of weekends, including some of a medieval re-enactment fight between knights and some other photos that I would love to share with you. However, at the moment I just haven't got the time to do them justice. I will take time to pop by your blogs and say hi, but probably not as often as I ususally do. I'm just sayin' so you don't think I have gone AWOL.

As Arnie says...I'll be back! Wish me lots of luck as I feel like I need all you can spare right now. My exam is on the 25th. Thanks.

Lots and lots of luck bob-kat and I hope at least you can study in the sun. I still have nightmares about the notes i never copied up - let alone learned them, but somehow scraped through. I'm sure you'll be fine because you are taking it seriously. As I always told the boys and then grand-children - you can only do your best and if you fail it isn't the end or the world- believe me!
Michele says good luck also!

love the vintage ad! so true! The Big Arnold may be famous for his fantasy flicks, but he is actually a very astute businessman and manager. I think he would be proud of your tackling the course material with a positive and serious attitude.

Lots of luck, vision and good fortune as you work on the paper----and remember: illegitimum non carborundum!

You're so good at what you do that I'm sure your skill will easily carry you through to deadline. But good luck regardless: please know we're thinking of you and wishing you the best as you complete this latest chapter in your education.

As we say in the Theatre, (And you know this) "MERDE"
...and "Break A Leg", too....All about Good Luck, dear B-K...I don't envy you having to take these exams...and particularly this since you have to play 'catcg-up', but I'm willing to bet right now, you are going to do Splendidly!

Is the Re-Anactment the one CQ does with The Aginoths? Can't wait to see your pics, whatever Re-Enactment it is, but it would be a lovely bonus if it is the CQ & Mr. & Mrs. A.

You overcame those obstacles and will do yourself proud in your exams - I have total faith in Mah Girly.....

Do this: Breathe. Now do it again. It's going to be all right, no matter what happens. All you can do is what you can, so do that and quit stressing, there's nothing more you can do.

I know what you're feeling - I'm coming down to the end of the semester myself. Due Monday is a midterm for Mass Media Law, then I have a paper coming up in War Peace and Mass Media in two weeks. It examines the conduct of the media during the run-up to the Bay of Pigs debacle. And, of course, there's a lot of stupid stuff due for that stupid class that I'm required to take as well.

The point is that my direction is dictated and so too is the work that I can do to achieve it. Do I stress? Sure, I'm human, but I try to keep it in perspective. And thanks to opportunities presented to me from others such as yourself, I can re-assess my own stressors and put it all back into perspective.

And all that because of our mutual friend, Michele

Mike

Fingers and toes and prayers going up for you.... My Nyssa is almost finished for the semester as well and this is the most stressful time. William and Mary is late getting out this year because of the Jamestown festivities.... OH ... The Queen is coming to their graduation!!!

Funnily I too wrote a blog post sometime back and called it "too many books, too little time" !!
But not surprising--we seem to think so much alike.
