Reflections

I took this photograph on my recent visit to Pembroke in South Wales. Pembroke Castle towers over a river which is next to it and there is a lovely walk around the castle next to the river. I was ambling along enjoying the sunshine adn taking photos of the castle when I noticed the reflection of some nearby houses in the water. I love the colours and how the ripples on the water blur their outline.

I also love how the English language can be used in different contexts. There are the physical reflections such as above and then there are the inward looking reflections that we make about ourselves and our lives.

I'm preparing a post on Pembroke Castle complete with photo's I took whilst there and will be posting it up soon, promise!

nice pic. I love shooting waterscapes too from time to time.
Are you still in Wales?
Coz if you are shoot this pic again, only this time get the actual and reflected version of the castle. that would look sweet.
And its a challenging pic to take too.

btw. mommyof2 suggested I ask you out.

so, in true hershey style, "why don't I take you out for a cup of ice cream..."

Blogger must be having issues, B-K. No picture shows on this post in my browser. I reloaded a few times. I'll take a look again tomorrow. See you then!

I like that pic too. I took one of a bridge in Florence in the fall that had wonderful reflections. Sometimes, they are better than the original subject. I look forward to the story and pics of that castle.

Your new format is very nice, Bobkat! I like the color schemes and the way it is organized.

I love looking at reflections myself; however, I tend to become transfixed and unable to move. Maybe they're not good for me!

These are lovely pictures. Blogger did it to me too... it wouldn't show this picture until I hit the permalink.

I would love to visit England and Ireland someday... perhaps my brother will sing there and we can make the trip.

I love the ripples, too. I've been playing with water lately, too, so this one resonates even more deeply than usual.

You always manage to captivate my eye and my mind.

Not sure if you saw this one, but it almost whispers that it's your picture's cousin. Here's the link:
