Back in Blighty

I've been back from San Francisco for a couple of days now, battling jet lag, catching up on tons of laundry, getting my bearings and braving the British weather. I had a fabulous time and having left SF with blue skies and sun I returned to torrential rain and gale force winds. A further bump back to earth came when I got home and realised I had a suitcase full of dirty washing to contend with and I had to go back to work. To paraphrase a famous Hollywood icon, 'Toto, I guess I'm not in California anymore'. Photos will follow soon.

One thing you didn't mention: did you love the city as much as I do?? (and yes, I WAS expecting you to mention ME in that comparison!)

Glad to know you had a very good time and also glad to know you are home safe and sound!
I look forward to your pictures.....I hope you had good weather while you were there---it can be "iffy"...lots of Rain and Fog and often it is quite cold! BUT, if the weather is good, it is quite an amazing place...!

So tell us what all you did there and what you liked the best. And how did the cats fare while you were gone?

no you are not, but then I am not in jolly old England anymore either ( been 21 years)

Susan - I did love it.

OOLOTH - I had great weather!

Kenju - all that info will follow with the pics but the cats did fine but seemed to miss me. They thank you for asking.

David - Only people outside of the UK call it that and as for your second question, it progresses.

I'm sure you've had a great time and will wait for further accounts!

I have a little wooden model of one the SF trams, which is a kind of Christmas tree decoration and plays that SF song. It'll be back on the tree this year.
