Update

I am experiencing bloggers block. I have tried to start a new post now for a couple of days and the abortive attempts this evening alone run into double figures. I have to face facts, I've got nothing. Where are all the meme's when you need one?

It's not that I don't have ideas or that I haven't done anything, for some reason the words just won't come. I'm putting it down to general busy-ness and the fact that my mind is refusing to do any of that bothersome thinking I've been making it do all week. Anyway, just to prove that I am alive and have not run away and joined the circus, been abducted by aliens or become trapped under something heavy, here is a quick run down of life this week by bullet points. Yeah, I can manage bullet points, my mind likes those!
  • I am busy at work trying to tie up loose ends, get my ducks in a row and destroy the evidence before I leave my current job.
  • I am also trying to recruit someone into my job as soon as possible. As my boss is still off sick this has fallen to me.
  • I have had a bit of a sci-fi week as I watched High Definition versions of 'Blade Runner: Final Cut' and 'The Matrix'. The picture quality was phenomenal.
  • The grass in the front garden is mowed but the back garden remains a small jungle. I swear I saw a tribe of pygmy warriors out there.
  • I got my hair done so now the roots match the rest of my hair!
  • I also got it cut as it was getting quite long and I had started to resemble a shaggy dog.
  • I bought 'The Colour Purple' for only £3 at the local entertainment store
  • I went historical fencing twice. On Friday it was so humid I thought I was going to expire.
  • I plan to go and see the new Indiana Jones film this weekend.
That's about it in a nutshell. There has also been housework, but lets face it, that's just boring. So, what have you been up to?

Well, I plan on doing as little as possible. I really would like to do some writing on my blog -- always like to be a coupla installments ahead of my current post (just in case of emergencies :D).

Maybe get a coupla dark ales and set myself up at the computer and start plugging away....

So! It's all about you, huh? That's okay. It's my favorite topic.

Hey, bobcat! I've got REAL pygmy warriors in my back yard! (aka, my girls..) They hide in the trees and the surreal underbrush...

I hatethat feeling. I can blog all day in my head, and then at the sight of a blank screen clam up, shut shop, do not pass go, do not collect 200 dollars. I am glad it happens to others. Well, not glad foryou, but you know what I mean!

Well, for someone who said they had "nothing", you came up with a lot! LOL! And all very interesting, too....I hate that I have to wait for months and months to see any and all NEW Films...UGH! Since I cannot go to Movie Theatres anymore. etc....It is left to the DVD's!
Sounds like you saw some good stuff this week in HD! I hear that it really REALLY makes a HUGE Difference....Never seen it, well...not yet, I should say. One of these days...
When do you actually start the NEW Job? I know you must be looking forward to that!

Me too. Nothing much happening around this neck of the woods either. I have been hopelessly addicted to iDVD (just did a post on it) so that's where my time has been zapped to.

I'm in a panic over the last week of school. How am I going to manage all this with no help? Aack!

Haven't seen Indy yet, but I suspect it's in my future, as our eldest son has asked to see it.

I hear you re. blogger's block. Because of our recent adventures with my father and in-laws all getting sick, I've had to juggle life and work and family more these past few months than ever before. Which has left me with precious little mental room for blogging.

The new advance-post feature helps a little, as I blast out a string of entries when the spirit moves me, and then I can pretty much let them auto-post through the week. I couldn't sleep last night, so I wrote and scheduled virtually everything for the next week.

That includes a neato new weekly feature that I've been wanting to try for some time. And now that it's in the queue, so to speak, I can go back to life without worrying about caring and feeding the blog.

I'm also backing away from the M&G thing on weekends. It sucks too much time, and the fact that the system now tags me as a spammer is my sign that it's time to bow out and focus on the things that matter. The folks who matter will remain in my orbit, and I in theirs.

My advice for blogger-block: Read the news. Get pissed off. Write about it.

Cheers.

I planned on going to see Indy this weekend too, but completely forgot (something I've been doing a lot of lately!). Maybe next weekend...

I can see Indy in my near future ...!
I am thankful for pictures as I am rather word-frugal...if there is such an expression!
My garden looks fine for the time being, but let the rain and the sun do their job and ask me in two weeks...
Have an enjoyable week ahead.

I can hardly wait to see Indiana Jones....if not this week then maybe next.

I think your blog block isn't as serious as first thought. I enjoyed what you wrote and apparently bullet points are good for me, too.

I got here from Melli's blog, I think....and glad to have made the journey.

I agree its sometimes difficult to string bloggy words together, and sometimes I half write a post and then abandon it.

Looking at the stream of consciousness via your 'bullets' though, it appears that you have a few things going on!

I love "The Colour Purple" ... such a moving film. It's got everything. And beautifully shot. Love the music too.
