My regular visitors will notice that I haven't posted in a few days. It is most remiss of me and I apologise, however my mother has been re-admitted to hospital and I am concerned.
When she was admitted a couple of weeks ago with sciatic problems they sent her home with a suitcase full of painkillers and other medication but never really did much to address the actual cause. For the last couple of weeks this has meant that my mother has been virtually bed bound as she can no longer get around as she used to and the meds make her confused. Being a diabetic compounded the problems and now it seems that she has problems with her lower legs. Apparently the doctors think it is an infection but it is not responding to IV antibiotics. Yesterday a consultant saw the state of my mothers legs on his rounds and decided to take over her case. My father tells me that he was appalled at how my mothers diabetes has been mismanaged (she has not had a consultation about it in 4 years) and that he believes getting the diabetes under control will lessen all her symptoms. I hope they help her soon as apparently her spirit is severely dampened and she is very weepy. It is very upsetting.
I am going up to see her today. Please can I call on you to send positive thoughts and prayers again? Thank you.

BK I am praying for your mother (and you) on a regular basis. I know you are in a lot of peoples thoughts and prayers.
These kinds of things are so tough to deal with.
Hopefully this Doctor will get things straightened out.
We are purraying and purring for your Mother. Getting her diabetes under control will definitely help her other symptoms.
I hate that your mom is back in the hospital again :( I hope that they can get her well this time, instead of just treating the symptoms. I know this has to be difficult for you (((HUGS)))
Bob-kat, I have kept her in my prayers since you told of her plight. I hope they will get the infection under control and then the diabetes too.
Just got back from vacation. You and yours are in our thoughts and prayers.
Oh My dear Bob-Kat, I am soooo sorry...! But it does sound like she finally has a doctor who is worth his salt...(or whatever that expression is)...I know that Diabetes can be a HUGE problem if not looked after properly. My brother is a Diabetic and has been dealing with it for many many years....He has to give himself the Insulin shots, etc...I dearly hope this doctor gets your Mom's Diabetes under control and that she will be feeling a lot better, very soon...
I know how depressing these physical problems can be, and she certainly has been through the mill. Hoping that by this time you've seen her and I bet this lifts her spirits, my dear...
I'm a great believer in "weepy"..I do it ALL the time...it is such a wonderful outlet for us and som many people try to avoid it as much as possibe...Give her a BIG hug for me, even though she does not know me.
Oh no! We will do our best. Every prayer helps a little bit. We will also pray that this new doctor can solve the mystery and get everything corrected. Just know we are thinking of you. Well, Mom is and she can do that praying stuff better than we can.

Really sorry to hear about that, BK. I'll be thinking of her.
Michele sent me here.
I hope yesterday went ok, lovey.
Sorry I wasn't around 'virtually' but our internet died.
You know how much I love you, and I am so hoping your mum improves soon.
Diabetes is a terrible affliction that affects the body in so many different ways (Aginoth was a reasonably healthy young man before his diabetes kicked in).
Love to your mum

Just wondered how you found your Mum...I hope it was a good visit, my dear. Thinking of you, a lot! Prayers are present.

As a type 2 diabetic, I am finding out how important it is to control it. Sending positive vibes that they'll get the infection under control and she'll come out on top.
