More Colour

This is my life at the moment:
  • Work
  • Study
  • More work
  • Deadlines
My boss has been ill for a while now and I have had to take on much of his work. All this at the same time as many of my project deadlines have been compressed and shifted left by a senior manager. Right about now I also have a deadline for my MBA and no idea what to write as it is meant to be work based and I am too busy doing actual work. All this has meant that blogging has taken a bit of a back seat so I apologise as I haven't been able to visit my blog friends as often as I would like to, and I haven't posted all week either. This pattern is liable to continue for a couple of weeks or so and then oh my gawd I have to start thinking about Christmas at some point!!! (Takes a moment to panic). Anyway, I will pop round when I can. I haven't forgotten.

Anyway, I thought you might like this commercial that I saw the other day. It was for the Sony Bravia TV. I posted about one of their adverts before *here*. You remember the one with all the bouncy balls in San Francisco? I just love their adverts. They are always so creative and colourful. They are art. This time art involving rabbits and NYC, 40 animators, 2.5 tons of plasticine and 3 weeks of shooting. What do you think?

  1. That. Is. Simply. Amazing. Wow. Thanks for sharing this. I just might use it on my blog sometime, if you don't mind. Michele sent me. To say hello.

  2. It's funny how these things go. I usually reply to comments on my blog over there, but with occasional readers, I'm not sure they'll get them so I was thinking of coming back and now here I am thanks to Michele! Just wanted to say thanks for dropping by and your generosity. I'll be sure to give you credit for introducing me to that commercial to begin with.

Hang in there and remember: There are no deadlines in the blogiverse. We'll be here when you get back.

"Just don't mention Christmas," he said, joining in the panic.

    Cheers.

  6. Michele didn't send me, but I read daily (or when you update). I do, however, forget that when I'm reading on the Sage reader, I am NOT reading at your blog, and just wanted you to know I DO read you! I hope that your life finds a little colour as well!

My life is kids, theatre, sleep, kids, theatre. I'd forgotten what it was to make such a commitment to theater, even if it is volunteer....ouch!

  7. Bob-kat, please do not apologize; we understand how busy you are!

The commercial is absolutely wonderful! I don't know why they don't show it in the US!

    How cool!

Remember...small bites...if possible focus on one thing at a time when the big picture becomes overwhelming. It will pass!

  10. Sorry you are snowed under Bob-kat. Just take it easy and listen to Randall. I'm out on a limb - so what's new - but the commercial went over my head and just reminded me of that non PC phrase 'breed like rabbits'. So it goes:) Michele says hi!

  11. irst of all, you must be pretty tired, Dear Bob-Kat....it sounds like you are like The Energizer Bunny...You never syop! Do take good care my dear...I hope you get a little R&R...!
And speaking of Bunnies....That Ad is so inventive abd the colors are delicious. You know we don't have this Ad here in the Los Angeles, and we didn't have the other one of the balls in SF...They are so creative! Thanks my dear for sharing this delightful Advert.

  16. Oh my gawd alright when thinking of Christmas. Especailly since it really all that far away and when you're on a tight budget you wish it was further away. But I am actually pretty excited about it!!

ANd deadlines. I do remember deadlines. Urgh. Good luck my dear and visit when you can...we'll still be here when you return.

  17. I hope you manage to find some time for yourself. Having had a colleague off ill for 2 months recently and having to take on all her work, I know that stressed feeling. Do what you can in the time you have, but don't over stretch yourself, it'll only make you ill too.

Take care and when you have some free time, I've tagged you.

  18. Imagine that your job involves weaving pure magic. It's why I've always loved the medium of advertising, because it forces compressed genius like this.

I feel your pain re. the compression of life. Wish I could send you some of my cycles. If I could write you out of this jam, I would.

Popped by from Michele's on this cold Sunday morning. Now it's off to the gym where I'll hopefully learn to make my body healthy. Wait, it IS healthy. Healthier. That's it. :)

  20. Incedible!
    Thanks for posting the video.
You take care of yourself and don't take on too much

  21. I agree these are good adverts. The bouncy balls, including a 'how its made' version and the same for the block of flats with the paint bombs - also including a how its made.

And not forgetting the Welsh Tango version - which I think both of us have posted at some point!

I'm also clocking up the hours this weekend. Its okay to do for a while but not all the time. I've probably got another couple of hours yet tonight and don't feel that I've done anything except work this weekend.

I just looked at my meeting time tomorrow on Outlook, which promptly crashed, so I am waiting for my PC to re-joggle itself so that I can see my schedule.

Oh well, back to it. Smiles. rashbre

This post hit home for me. My work studying and kids have taken so much of my time this past month. This next week, I will have double work and the final week of studying before the law school admissions test.

    PS - Michele sent me.
