To celebrate I have a couple of fun things for you (Well, I hope they are fun!).

And a game. Firstly, I feel like spreading the birthday joy a bit so when you comment please leave a question for the next person after you and answer the one the last visitor left for you. It's party chat time and some of you might have played this at Michele's.
Secondly, I like to be a good hostess so I like my guests to mingle. To achieve this I will introduce you to my blog roll. Please choose someone from the blogroll and go and visit them and tell them that 'Bob-kat sent me to spread the birthday joy'. I hope you do visit someone as everyone I have linked to is there for a reason, namely because I enjoy what they have to say, they are witty, funny, touching and thought provoking.
Thirdly, It's not a party without gifts so I'm sending you off on a treasure hunt (optional of course). Leave a link in the comments to something nice and/or funny that you think I would like. Hmm - diyadear's question is a good one.....'which birthday did you like the most and why?'
My 40th was amazing. I left MB and all my responsibilities at home and went to Cornwall with my friends for a week. We had a wonderful time, house of 11 people, kids, friends, noise, gifts, a lovely dinner out - and MB even had flowers delivered to the cottage for me.......
This year I am hoping to do something a little different too - and you are invited, Bobkat....
My question for the next visitor is....if you could be any animal, what would it be and why?

Hard to decide on a bday gift very quickly, so here is my favorite chocolate place in Barcelona, look under products and then pots: almonds dipped in dark chocolate is the one I give away more often!

What a lovely day for a birthday! And I completely agree with you: we're never too old to have a celebration. Life, after all, should be about the little moments of happiness that we allow ourselves to have.
ReplyDeleteMy gift to you is a link to a picture I took last autumn. I had just brought my camera home from the store, and I was trying to take artsy pictures of some flowers I had bought my wife.
It was midday, and I needed to get back to work. But I was at peace at my kitchen table. The light was beautiful, and I still remember that moment like it happened just now. Enjoy...both this and the rest of your day.

ReplyDeleteIn answer to Mike's question, my earliest birthday memory was my 13th. For some reason I can distinctly recall sitting at the kitchen table with some friends from school eating cake and opening presents.
